Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: After a ₹15 lakh crore rout last week, the Nifty 50 begins a new trading week amidst near-record net short positions from foreign institutions and at the lower end of the trading range of 25,700 - 26,250 - 26,300 that it has found itself stuck in for the last three months. Earnings season begins for the Nifty 50 stocks today with TCS and HCLTech reporting after market hours. Anand Rathi Wealth is the other company reporting results today.
A result reaction today will be DMart-parent Avenue Supermarts, which delivered a positive margin surprise in Q3. On the upside, the Nifty would first look to move back above the 25,750 - 25,800 levels before making an attempt towards the 26,000 mark. On the downside, 25,600 will be the first important level to watch.
For the Nifty Bank, 59,000 on the downside is key, courtesy of HDFC Bank's underperformance. Also watch for stocks like Signatureglobal, Premier and Waaree Energies, along with IEX and Vodafone Idea. Keep an eye on the rise in oil prices.
