On the upside, Monday's closing level of 24,774 and then the 24,800 mark will be key to watch.
Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The first quarter results season is set to end this week. The final set of companies is set to report their numbers this week. The Nifty though, has been fairly range-bound, as the index and the market adjust to the CAS rules.
After the big gaps on the first two days, the gaps narrowed down to negligible margins over Thursday and Friday on the index, and that could indicate some sense of normalcy returning.
The Nifty holding 24,500 on the downside could be considered positive as it could indicate the formation of a base and the bulls would want the index to hold on to those levels. On the upside, Monday's closing level of 24,774 and then the 24,800 mark will be key to watch.
The Nifty Bank is consistently facing supply at the 58,000 mark on the upside, but has managed to defend 57,500 regularly as well. The index would aim to breakout from this 500 to 700-point range.
Keep an eye on crude with Brent back at $85 a barrel. Earnings reactions come from Kaynes Tech, PFC, other infrastructure names as well. Also keep an eye on any brokerage commentary on Bajaj Finance.
