Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Nifty 50 index is up 300 points in the last two sessions, making a "double-bottom" of sorts on the charts earlier in the week. There has been some progress in the India-US trade deal talks, according to sources, which could boost sentiments for the bulls.
The Nifty is now above 25,300, and experts believe a move towards 25,500 is very likely. Today is also the monthly expiry session for the Sensex contracts, as well as the tabling of the Economic Survey in parliament. The Nifty Bank reclaiming the 59,500 mark will also please the bulls.
Another earnings-heavy day awaits us. L&T, NSDL, SBI Card, Cochin Shipyard, GRSE and many others react to results today, while ITC, IEX, Dixon Tech, Adani Power, CONCOR are only a few among the at least 50 companies reporting their results through the course of the day. Also watch for gold and Silver-linked names as the rally continues in the precious metals. Brent Crude is near $69 and rising oil prices can also be a factor.
