Sensex Today | Stock Market Highlights: Sensex jumped 487 points to 82,345 and Nifty gained 167 to 25,343. BEL led gains after Q3 results, while Maruti Suzuki, Asian Paints and CSB Bank were among top losers.

Sensex Today | Stock Market Highlights: Indian equities closed higher for the second straight session, ending near the day’s high. The Sensex rose 487 points to 82,345, while the Nifty gained 167 points to close at 25,343, holding above the 25,300 mark.
The Nifty Bank added 393 points to 59,599, while the Nifty Midcap 100 outperformed, jumping 955 points to 58,439. Market breadth stayed strong, with the NSE advance-decline ratio at 7:2.
On the Nifty, BEL surged 9% to emerge as the top gainer after its Q3 results. ONGC and Oil India climbed nearly 9% each tracking a rise in crude oil prices, while Coal India, Eternal and Hindalco also featured among key gainers.
On the downside, Maruti Suzuki slipped nearly 3%, Asian Paints fell over 4%, Hindustan Zinc declined 3.5% and CSB Bank tumbled 18%.
