Sensex Today | Nifty LIVE Updates: The Indian markets under pressure, as the Nifty index is down over 100 points, falling towards the January 11 low. The Nifty Bank index is also under pressure, with a decline of close to 200 points. Bajaj Finance, Eternal, Trent, Tech Mahindra and IndiGo are among the major laggards.

Sensex Today | Nifty LIVE Updates: The Indian markets are trading in the red, with the Nifty index falling over 120 points. The 50-stock index has fallen below the November 11 swing low of 25,449. The Sensex index is also down, falling over 300 points, dipping below the 83,000 mark.
In the 12 trading sessions of 2026 so far, the Nifty 50 has gained in only four of them. Although the index continues to protect lower levels, the price action has been extremely volatile with no conviction from the bulls at higher levels.
That 25,500 mark on the options data front has the highest put concentration, making it a key level to defend for the bulls. Futures on Wall Street continue to trade lower as trading resumes after Monday's holiday.
Haven assets like Gold and Silver made new highs and continue to trade at elevated levels. On the upside, the 25,750 - 25,800 zone remains a barrier for the index. The focus on today's weekly expiry will remain on index heavyweights ICICI Bank, Reliance Industries and HDFC Bank.
The Nifty Bank continues to defend the 59,500 mark on the downside, which is a positive for the bulls. Earnings reactions come from LTIMindtree, CEAT, Havells today, while names like ITC Hotels, AU Small Finance Bank, IndiaMART, SRF, Newgen Software among others report today.
