The Israel Defence Force killed Hezbollah terrorist Ali Abd al-Qader Ismail, a commander in the headquarters of the Bint Jbeil sector, the military said on Saturday.

Ismail was involved in efforts to rehabilitate the terrorist organisation in Bint Jbeil in southern Lebanon.

“ELIMINATED: Ali Abd al-Qader Ismail, a senior Hezbollah commander in the Bint Jbeil sector, involved in efforts to rehabilitate the terrorist organisation in southern Lebanon," the IDF wrote on X.

“The IDF will continue to operate to remove any threat posed to the State of Israel," it added.

Earlier in the day, the Israeli Air Force on Saturday said that it struck over 100 “terror targets" across the Gaza Strip in the last 24 hours, in support of ground forces, as the fighting continues in the war-torn territory with no ceasefire in sight.

The Air Force said that among the targets attacked in the strikes, terrorist squads, combat tunnels, military buildings, anti-tank firing positions, and weapons storage facilities were struck.

Meanwhile, a day after withdrawing their delegations from talks, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Donald Trump appeared on Friday to abandon Gaza ceasefire negotiations with the Palestinian militant group Hamas.

Netanyahu said Israel was now considering “alternative" options to achieve its goals of bringing its hostages home from Gaza and ending the rule of Hamas in the territory. Trump said Hamas did not want to make a deal, and he believed the group’s leaders would now be “hunted down".
