The Securities and Exchange Board of India's (SEBI) Secondary Market Advisory Committee (SMAC) has favoured retaining the existing 30-minute volume-weighted average price (VWAP) method for derivatives expiry settlement for at least a year, according to Moneycontrol.
The existing method uses the VWAP between 3 pm and 3:30 pm for derivatives expiry settlement.
The panel has also proposed permitting derivatives trading until 3:45 pm, while the treatment of market orders during the auction remains under review.
