RailTel Corporation of India has secured a domestic project worth ₹88.66 crore from Central Railway for the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of IP-MPLS network equipment across stations in the Mumbai, Pune, Solapur, Bhusawal and Nagpur divisions, with execution scheduled to be completed by January 13, 2027.
Telecom infrastructure firm RailTel Corporation of India Ltd on Wednesday (January 14) said it has received a letter of acceptance from Central Railway for a domestic project involving the supply, installation, testing and commissioning (SITC) of IP-MPLS network equipment across multiple railway divisions.
The project relates to the SITC of IP-MPLS network equipment at various stations under the Mumbai, Pune, Solapur, Bhusawal and Nagpur divisions of Central Railway. The network is intended to support unified communication across Indian Railways.
The order has been awarded by a domestic entity and is classified as a project in nature. RailTel stated that the project is scheduled to be executed by January 13, 2027. The company confirmed that the promoter, promoter group or group companies do not have any interest in Central Railway, the entity awarding the contract.

Earlier in the day, RailTel Corporation of India informed the bourses about the cancellation of multiple work orders with a combined value of approximately ₹609.56 crore.
RailTel had earlier received a letter of acceptance (LoA) from the Bihar Education Project Council for the procurement, supply and installation of smart classrooms in government middle schools across Bihar. The estimated value of this project is ₹262.14 crore.
The company has now informed exchanges that the customer has cancelled the work order due to unavoidable reasons. Shares of Railtel Corporation of India Ltd ended at ₹352.50, down by ₹12.35, or 3.63%, on the BSE today, January 14.
