US President Donald Trump on Wednesday said he was designating the left-wing, anti-fascist Antifa movement as a terrorist organisation.
The move comes following the assassination of right-wing political activist Charlie Kirk.
In a post on his Truth Social platform, the US President called Antifa a “sick, dangerous, and radical left disaster".
“I will also be strongly recommending that those funding ANTIFA be thoroughly investigated in accordance with the highest legal standards and practices," Trump wrote.
