Premier Energies discloses order wins worth ₹3,011 crore in the June quarter; Stock rises

Shares of Premier Energies Ltd. gained as much as 1.5% after the company said it received orders worth ₹3,011 crore in the first quarter of financial year 2027, in official statement released on Tuesday, July 7.

The orders, booked in the April-June quarter, cover the supply of 1,846 MW of solar cells and modules, with deliveries scheduled across this financial year and the next. The contracts come from a mix of power producers, module manufacturers, EPC companies and other customers, as per the Premier Energies exchange filing.

Chiranjeevi Saluja, managing director of Premier Energies, said the new orders reflected the company's leadership position, built on investments in new technologies, scale and product quality. He credited the rising solar demand and the government's "Make in India" campaign for supporting the company's growth strategy.

Premier Energies manufactures high-efficiency solar cells and modules. It recently increased it module manufacturing capacity to 11.1 GW from 5.5 GW earlier. The company's solar cell manufacturing capacity is also set to increased to 10.6 GW by the end of September this year, from 3.6 GW earlier.

The company also credited the ALMM-2 policy, which mandates the use of listed solar PV cells for projects commissioned from 1 June this year, with cutting import dependence and enabling its growth.

Shares of Premier Energies are trading 1.1% higher on Tuesday after the announcement at ₹1,033.8. The stock is down 5% over the last one month but is holding on to its year-to-date advance of 22%.
