Pigeon flies into US flight cabin, passenger tries to catch it mid-air

A pigeon entered a Delta Air Lines flight just before takeoff, sparking a chaotic scene onboard. The unexpected bird flew inside the cabin as the plane prepared to depart from Minneapolis–Saint Paul Airport to Madison, Wisconsin, leading a passenger to try and catch it midair.

Tom Caw, a fellow passenger, captured the unusual moment on video. The footage shows one traveller using a jacket to intercept the bird as it flutters through the cabin. Passengers nearby can be heard screaming as the pigeon crashes into the jacket and falls to the floor.

Local reports revealed that baggage handlers had already removed one pigeon from the plane before it began to taxi. However, as the aircraft moved toward the runway, a second pigeon appeared, prompting the dramatic attempt to catch the bird mid-flight.

Delta Air Lines has not yet commented on the incident.
