Parliament Monsoon Session Day 8 LIVE Updates: As the discussion on Operation Sindoor continues in Parliament, External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar and Leader of the House JP Nadda are likely to address the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday. In addition to this, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is likely to deliver the concluding speech in Parliament.
Jaishankar is scheduled to speak at 1 pm, commencing the debate on Operation Sindoor in Rajya Sabha, followed by JP Nadda around 3 pm, news agency PTI reported citing its sources.
The debate on Operation Sindoor began in the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday, while the Lok Sabha took up the discussion on Monday. The operation was launched in response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack.
In a big statement, PM Modi on Tuesday in Lok Sabha said no other country intervened and stopped India from carrying out the strikes on terror camps in Pakistan. He said India stopped its offensive after achieving 100% of its objectives, and warned of a decisive response should Pakistan try anything in the future, while lashing out at Congress for aligning with Pakistani propaganda.

EAM Jaishankar made a mention of China during the Operation Sindoor debate and reminded of historical events leading to the closeness between Pakistan and China. “The military cooperation between the two countries started in 1966,” he said in Rajya Sabha.
He listed various agreements between Beijing and Islamabad during the UPA era to cite the existing diplomatic relationship between the two countries.
His remarks came in reference to Rahul Gandhi’s attack in Lok Sabha yesterday, where he said that the Modi government has brought China and Pakistan together.
