The Pakistani army claimed that 11 soldiers and 40 civilians were killed in the recent Indian strikes and termed the conflict, from April 22 to May 10, Marka-e-Haq (battle of truth). This is the first time Pakistan has confirmed that it lost air force personnel in India's 'Operation Sindoor', giving credence to the Indian Air Force's claim that it shot down "a few planes" of the PAF.

Sources claimed that India shot down one F-16 and two JF-17 fighter jets on the intervening night of May 8-9 when Pakistan attempted to infiltrate Indian airspace at 36 locations.

Pakistan also claimed that 78 personnel were injured during 'Operation Bunyan-al-Marsus' (unbreakable wall), which it launched on May 9-10, targeting 26 locations in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan and Gujarat with drones and missiles. However, all were intercepted or blocked by air defence units.

The Pakistani army said 'Operation Bunyan-al-Marsoos' was part of the 'Marka-e-Haq' that began after Indian strikes inside Pakistan shortly after May 7 midnight.

Under 'Operation Sindoor', India's response to the Pahalgam terror attack, which left 26 dead, nine terror camps linked to Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba were destroyed. India claimed that 100 terrorists were killed in the strike carried out by the IAF and the Army.
