NTPC Green Energy Ltd informed the exchanges that over 158 megawatts of Ayana Kadapa Renewable Power Pvt Ltd's 250 megawatt solar power project in Andhra Pradesh began commercial operations on Friday.
Ayana Kadapa Renewable Power is a step-down subsidiary of ONGC NTPC Green Pvt. Ltd., a joint venture of NTPC Green.
As per the exchange filing, the current commercial capacity of NTPC Green Energy Limited Group is 8992.68 MW. With the addition of this capacity, the total installed capacity of the NTPC Green Energy Limited Group has increased to 9151.08 MW.

For the December quarter, the State-owned company reported a 73% year-on-year decline in its net profit at ₹17.5 crore, compared with ₹65.6 crore in Q3FY25. Revenue for the quarter was up 29.4% at ₹653.3 crore from ₹505 crore reported in the same quarter in the previous year.
NTPC Green Energy's EBITDA increased 33.8% year-on-year to ₹567 crore from ₹424 crore, and EBITDA margin for the quarter improved to 86.8% from 84% in the year-ago period.
NTPC Green Energy Ltd, an umbrella company for green business initiatives of NTPC, undertakes projects through organic and inorganic routes and aims to be the flag-bearer of NTPC's green energy journey to achieve the ambitious target of 60 gigawatt (GW) by FY32.

Shares of NTPC Green Energy Ltd closed at ₹90.30, down ₹0.21 or 0.23%, on February 20.
