Nothing OS 4.0 open beta update is now available for Phone 3 and other users in India and here's how you can try the new Android 16 version
The Nothing OS 4.0 open beta update is now available.
Nothing OS 4 open beta update is finally here and if you have the latest Phone 3 or some of the other devices the new Android 16 version can be installed right away. Nothing OS 4.0 was teased in September with some of the new interface changes detailed by the company.
Now, the new Android 16-based update in the open beta avatar is rolling out not just for the flagship Phone 3 model but other older devices as well. The biggest focus with the new Nothing OS 4.0 open beta update is the AI-generated Essential Apps that is part of Nothing’s own AI ambitions and an operating system.

Nothing had confirmed the OS 4.0 update will be coming to the new Phone 3 users first but this week’s change log suggests the Nothing OS 4.0 open beta will be available for some of the older Nothing Phones as well:

The whole interface gets enhanced with new icon styles, more artistic stuff and some useful tweaks like the new extra dark mode. The app loading times have gone down with the fluid interface that also seems lighter than the OS 3.0 version. The new AI Dashboard and Playground are the new additions as the company builds towards an AI-powered platform.
This is still the Nothing OS 4.0 open beta update so expect there to be glitches and bugs which may have an affect on the battery life and regular apps.
