Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in Jakarta on Monday that he will hold talks with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto to give greater momentum to the comprehensive strategic partnership across various sectors. The development came amid a busy day of diplomatic and security-related developments across the region and beyond.
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar met Bahrain Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani in Manama and discussed deepening bilateral cooperation and ongoing regional developments. In other developments, China test-fired a long-range strategic missile from a nuclear-powered submarine in the Pacific Ocean, Sri Lanka’s prison unrest death toll rose to 26, and thousands of Indian soldiers missing from First World War records were added to the official list of war dead in the UK.
