A magnitude 5.5 earthquake struck central Pakistan on Sunday, according to the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ). The Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Centre reported that the epicenter was situated approximately 149 kilometers (92.5 miles) west of Multan. GFZ noted that the quake was shallow, occurring at a depth of just 10 kilometers (6.2 miles).
