A fresh Israeli strike on Beirut has triggered an angry response from Tehran, with an Iranian lawmaker warning that Israel would soon face consequences.
The warning came hours after Israel carried out strikes in Dahiyeh, a Hezbollah stronghold in southern Beirut, in what Israeli officials described as retaliation for rocket fire toward northern Israel. The exchange has further strained an already fragile ceasefire and renewed concerns that fighting could intensify across Lebanon.
IRAN THREATENS RESPONSE AFTER BEIRUT STRIKE
Ebrahim Rezaei, spokesperson for Iran's parliamentary national security commission, issued a warning following the attack.
In a post on X, Rezaei said: "We will deliver a decisive and painful response to the Zionist regime's attack on Dahiyeh. These rabid dogs must be disciplined and put back in their place. Look at the sky over the occupied lands tonight."
