Jyoti Structures Ltd has won a ₹689.93 crore contract from Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation Ltd (GETCO) to build a high-voltage transmission line in Gujarat, the company said on Friday.
The project involves a 765 kV double-circuit transmission line between Pachchham and Saykha. Jyoti Structures will handle the design, testing, supply, erection and commissioning of the line on a turnkey basis. The project is scheduled for completion within 42 months of the Letter of Award. The contract value excludes goods and services tax (GST).
The order adds to the company’s existing portfolio of transmission projects in Gujarat, where it is working with private developers and utilities.
Jyoti Structures recently opened a dedicated project office in Ahmedabad to support its growing operations in the state. The office houses project management teams and is intended to improve coordination between engineering, site execution and customer teams.
The facility will also help the company oversee project sites, coordinate with stakeholders and manage ongoing work, while supporting its pursuit of future transmission projects in Gujarat, the company said.
“Gujarat remains an important market for us, with multiple transmission projects already under execution,” Amit Dutta, chief operating officer of Jyoti Structures, said. He added that the contract reflected continued demand for specialised engineering, procurement and construction capabilities in the power transmission sector.
The GETCO contract follows a recent order in Sri Lanka, where Jyoti Structures partnered with Hayleys Fentons Ltd to develop a 220 kV double-circuit transmission line between Mannar and Mullikulam. The project is intended to help evacuate wind power into Sri Lanka’s national grid.
Jyoti Structures shares closed 2.6% higher at ₹8.29 on the Stock Exchange on Friday, October 23.
