In a surprising gesture at the meeting in the White House, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni was seen offering a “namaste" greeting to an aide of US President Donald Trump, leaving attendees momentarily taken aback.

The brief but unexpected exchange occurred when she arrived at the White House to attend the meeting with Trump. People noted that the gesture stood out amid the usual handshakes and formal introductions.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived at the White House on Monday along with the European leaders. Donald Trump received the Ukrainian President.

All European leaders, who are in Washington DC today, have arrived at the White House for a meeting with Donald Trump.

Zelenskyy met Trump, wearing a black, suit-style jacket and shirt, though still without a tie, for high-stakes talks on the war with Russia.

The outfit marked a notable shift from Zelenskyy’s usual military attire and resembled what he wore to the NATO summit in The Hague earlier in June.

They are holding talks with Trump and Zelenskyy, aimed at bridging deep differences over a possible peace deal with Russia. Trump, fresh from a summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska last week, has said Ukraine must give up Crimea and abandon its NATO ambitions, two of Moscow’s key demands.
