The Delhi Fire Service received an emergency call around 1:30 AM, after which more than 22 fire service units, water bowsers, and lighting equipment were deployed to bring the blaze under control. Firefighters stationed heavy tenders on the main road hundreds of metres away and laid water pipes into the market. No casualties or injuries were reported as the incident occurred at night when the market was closed. An investigation into the cause of the fire will begin after cooling operations conclude.
