Israel-Iran Conflict News Today Live Updates: The Israel-Iran tensions escalated aggressively after relentless strikes rocked both nations on day eight of the military showdown. Israel targeted Iran’s Arak heavy water reactor, a significant nuclear facility, after issuing evacuation warnings. In retaliation, Iran launched missile strikes, one hitting Israel’s Soroka Medical Centre, causing extensive damage.
According to the rescuers, at least 47 people have been injured in the Iranian attacks on Israel.
The exchange marks a sharp escalation in a week-long air war with no clear signs of de-escalation or a diplomatic off-ramp.
Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu stated that while toppling Iran’s regime isn’t an official Israeli goal, it could potentially be an outcome of the current conflict.
“The matter of changing the regime or the fall of this regime is, first and foremost, a matter for the Iranian people. There is no substitute for this,” Benjamin Netanyahu said.
