Meanwhile, French President Emannuel Macron has claimed that US President Donald Trump has offered to broker a truce between Israel and Iran.

US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth told Fox News on Monday that Trump is keen on getting Iran to the negotiating table when it comes to striking a nuclear deal. The sixth round of talks between the US and Iran were called off on Sunday after Israel launched a scathing attack on Friday.
Macron said that Trump is aiming at brokering a peace deal between Iran and Israel. "There is indeed an offer to meet and exchange. An offer was made especially to get a ceasefire and to then kick-start broader discussions," he told reporters at the G7 Summit.
