A hacker group tied to Iran claimed possession of over 100GB of emails belonging to associates of US President Donald Trump, threatening to leak them publicly. The group, which operates under the alias “Robert", named top Trump figures including White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, attorney Lindsey Halligan, advisor Roger Stone and Trump critic pornstar Stormy Daniels as part of the breach.

Stormy Daniels made headlines in 2018 when she alleged that she had a sexual encounter with Donald Trump in 2006- shortly after the birth of his youngest son- and was later paid $130,000 in hush money just days before the 2016 election.
What Iran Hackers Said On The Breach?
According to a Reuters report, the hackers have not revealed the content of the files or provided verification but suggested the material may be for sale or public release. The group previously leaked emails during the 2024 election cycle but claimed to have retired shortly after Donald Trump’s victory.

However, “Robert" appears to have returned to action after the recent Iran-Israel conflict, which triggered US airstrikes on Iranian nuclear sites. Now, the group said that it is ready to release more.
US Officials Respond To Threat, Call It Propaganda
Attorney General Pam Bondi condemned the threat as an “unconscionable cyber-attack" while FBI Director Kash Patel stated in a joint FBI–White House announcement that any breach of national security would be “prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law."
The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) dismissed the operation as digital manipulation, saying, “This so-called cyber ‘attack’ is nothing more than digital propaganda. The targets are no coincidence. This is a calculated smear campaign meant to damage President Trump and discredit honorable public servants who serve our country with distinction."
