Motorola is launching its own thin 'Air' smartphone and the new product teaser suggests the device will be unveiled soon.
Moto X70 Air could be the new iPhone Air rival
Apple launched the iPhone Air earlier this month and soon we could have another ‘Air’ smartphone in the market, this time from the house of Motorola. The company has teased its new sleek device that will be unveiled in China in the next few weeks.
The post on Weibo shows the rumoured smartphone that is likely to be called the Moto X70 Air and you can see the device in green colour showing the sleek frame on the side. Samsung also has its own Galaxy S25 Edge which somewhat started the trend for thin phones this year, which also includes Tecno in the market.
Motorola Sleek ‘Air’ Phone: What We Can Expect?
Motorola has confirmed the Moto X70 Air launch plans in China which should happen sometime next month. The lightweight design of the new Air model is evident and you can also see the raised camera module as a result of trimming the device.
Going by the teaser of the Moto X70 Air we expect the device to come with a thickness of around 5.8mm which puts it directly in the iPhone Air and S25 Edge arena. There will be questions about the durability and hopefully the brand has figured out the right way to make it strong.
Having a sleek phone is gradually becoming a style quotient but not without its practical purpose. The use of silicon carbon battery tech along with the nano nature of the chipset means you will be seeing more thin phones in the market.
We do expect the Moto X70 Air will be using the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, the latest flagship SoC in the market. Motorola (owned by Lenovo) should also focus on bringing high-end camera sensors even with the sleek form factor.
The teaser hints at a dual rear camera system which should have a telephoto lens (which iPhone Air does not). It will be interesting to see the battery details for the Air phone and in which direction Motorola decides to go with a crucial aspect of the device.
