Indian-American venture capitalist Asha Jadeja Motwani has described spending nearly two hours with US President Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago in Florida, just hours before Washington and Israel launched strikes on Iran — a night she said would “change the history of our planet forever.”
In a detailed X post recounting her experience at Mar-a-Lago, Motwani said she was part of a small group of around 20 of Trump’s friends who were seated around a dinner table at the Florida resort as tensions with Iran escalated.
“Feeling humbled that we got two hours with President Trump at Mar-a-Lago last night. On a night that will change the history of our planet forever, the President chose to cease all negotiations with Iran and commence the war — with brave Israelis leading the whole operation,” she wrote.
Motwani said that during her three-day stay at Mar-a-Lago, she witnessed senior members of Trump’s team moving frequently between what she described as a “war room” and the President’s residential quarters.
“In the three days that I have been in Mar a Lago, (I) am seeing Steve Witkoff, (Marco) Rubio, (Peter) Hegseth, Jared Kushner, Susie (Wiles) and the entire team back and forth between the ‘war room’ and the President’s residential area,” she wrote. “As always Trump works around the clock. Seven days a week.”
