Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh’s aggressive stance and the ongoing Tri-Services Exercise Trishul 2025 seem to have rattled Pakistan.
Pakistan Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has now said that they will retaliate “with full force and power" to “India’s aggression or incursion on the border".
“We will not let go of any provocation. Pakistan will give a befitting response to India. This time, our response will be stronger than before. If India commits any aggression against our territory, we will not let go…and will not spare India," said Asif.

What Rajnath Singh said
Singh last week interacted with soldiers during Barakhana in Rajasthan’s Jaisalmer, where he said Operation Sindoor gave Pakistan a good dose of caution, and it will now think twice before attempting any misadventure against India in the future.
Singh reiterated that Operation Sindoor was not over and only paused, and gave a stern warning to Pakistan of an even harsher response if it resorts to any misadventure, according to an official release. “Our pilots displayed only a demo of India’s power to Pakistan. If given an opportunity, they will showcase our real strength," he said.
He also exhorted the Indian Armed Forces to always stay vigilant and take appropriate and effective steps against their activities. The minister also highlighted their role in realising India as a developed and self-reliant nation by 2047.
What is Trishul?
India has launched a major tri-services exercise, named ‘Exercise Trishul,’ along its western sector and Arabian Sea, involving the Indian Army, Indian Air Force (IAF), and Indian Navy. The exercise will run from October 30 to November 10, with a NOTAM issued to alert civil aviation of the drills.
The large-scale drills simulate integrated warfare, rapid mobilisation, and maritime dominance operations.
The exercise, while routine in nature, has reportedly prompted Pakistan’s heightened state of alert, reflecting the deep-seated mistrust that continues to define the subcontinental security environment.
Pakistan recently issued a second Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) within just five days — a move that intelligence sources describe as a signal of “panic and precaution" triggered by India’s ongoing Tri-Services Exercise Trishul 2025. The latest NOTAM, effective from November 1 to November 30, closes large portions of Pakistan’s airspace, particularly over its southern and coastal regions.
According to top intelligence inputs, the NOTAM indicates that Pakistan may be preparing for naval live-firing drills and potential missile testing in the Arabian Sea, likely from its naval platforms near the Sonmiani range. These preparations come amid what sources describe as “rising fears in Rawalpindi" that India could launch precision strikes on Pakistan’s southern airbases and naval fleets stationed near Sir Creek and adjoining coastal areas.
