US President Donald Trump on Monday reiterated he brokered ceasefire between Pakistan and India in May after a brief conflict, a claim denied by New Delhi on several occasions.
Trump claimed that he used trade to make Pakistan and India agree to the ceasefire.
“We stopped 7 wars, the real number is 10. We stopped Iran…from using a nuclear weapon. Every bomb hit its spot in Iran…. The big one was India and Pakistan. India Pakistan was next level, could have been a nuclear war. It took 24 hours to stop it. I used trade," the Republican said.
Trump said he will soon stop Russia-Ukraine war, a key poll promise of his 2024 re-election.
