The prosecutor in the Charlie Kirk assassination case has told the court that the suspect, Tyler Robinson, “had enough of and was tired of Kirk’s hatred".
News agency AFP quoted the prosecutor in Utah as saying that Robinson had sent such messages to his roommate.
“‘Why did I do it?'" Jeff Gray quoted the message.
“I had enough of his hatred. Some hate can’t be negotiated out," the message read.
Tyler Robinson had sent the message on the day of the shooting, and discussed his rifle, possible motive and other details on the planning surrounding the event, CNN cited charging documents released by Utah County officials.
Robinson’s roommate told police about a note left by Robinson under the keyboard, which read, “I had the opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk and I’m going to take it."
Police say they found a photo of the note, CNN said.
