Shares of Eternal Ltd. parent company of food delivery aggregator Zomato and quick commerce player Blinkit, recovered from the lows of the day, in response to their quarterly results that were reported on Thursday, October 16.

Revenue for the quarter nearly tripled, growing 183% on a consolidated basis to ₹13,590 crore from ₹4,799 crore. Revenue growth for the quarter was led by the quick-commerce business.

Eternal's quick commerce division, Blinkit, reported revenue of ₹9,891 crore, from ₹1,156 crore last year. This implies a growth of 755% on a year-on-year basis.


On a consolidated basis though, Eternal's net profit fell 63% from last year to ₹65 crore, while its Earnings before Interest, Tax, Depreciation and Amortisation (EBITDA) grew by 5.8% on a year-on-year basis to ₹239 crore.

EBITDA margin narrowed to 1.76% from 4.71% in the year-ago quarter.

Shares of Eternal are trading 1.2% higher ahead of the results announcement at ₹358.5. At the day's high, the stock was at ₹360, which is a 9x jump from its all-time low of ₹40, which it fell to on July 27, 2022.
