Elon Musk has stepped down as the head of DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency) in the Trump administration. His 130-day mandate as a special government employee was set to expire around May 30th, but his off-boarding will begin earlier. The White House stated that DODGE's efforts to restructure and shrink the federal government will continue. Musk thanked President Donald Trump for the opportunity to work in the cabinet.
