A high-quality drone video released on Monday shows one of the suspected gunmen involved in the deadly Bondi Beach shooting stumbling and falling on a bridge as police moved in, while a civilian is seen lying on the ground nearby amid the unfolding emergency.

At least 15 people were killed and nearly 30 others wounded when gunmen opened fire during a Jewish holiday event at Sydney’s Bondi Beach on Sunday, December 14, Australian authorities said. Two police officers were also among those injured in the attack.

The aerial footage, captured during the incident, shows a chaotic scene near the bridge, with emergency vehicles converging and police securing the area. One suspect is seen on the bridge losing balance and collapsing, as officers surround the location and a civilian remains prone on the ground for safety.

New South Wales police confirmed that one suspected gunman was shot dead, while the other remains in critical condition. The area was placed under lockdown as authorities conducted a large-scale security operation.

Reuters verified the video by matching buildings, trees and a nearby car park visible in the footage with satellite and file imagery of the Bondi Beach area. The individuals seen on the bridge match those shown surrounded by police in other corroborated visuals from the same location. The date and time of the footage were confirmed using metadata from the original video file.

Investigations into the attack are ongoing, with police continuing to examine the motive and sequence of events. Security remains heightened across Sydney as authorities assess further risks and support victims and their families.
