BEL secures additional orders worth ₹712 cr across defence and tech

Navratna defence PSU Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL) on Tuesday said it has received additional orders worth ₹712 crore since its last disclosure on 1 September 2025.

The new contracts include projects in IT infrastructure and cyber security solutions, electronic support measures systems, blockchain platforms, communication equipment, spares and related services.

This follows an earlier announcement on September 1, when BEL reported fresh orders valued at ₹644 crore since the end of July.

With the latest update, the company’s disclosed order inflows since the start of FY26 now stand at around ₹7,400 crore — around 27% of its full-year guidance of ₹27,000 crore, excluding a large ₹30,000 crore order for quick-reaction surface-to-air missiles.

As of April 1, BEL’s order book position stood at ₹71,650 crore. The company had also reported over ₹3,500 crore in new orders in June alone.

BEL announced its Q1 FY26 results earlier this month, reporting revenue of ₹4,417 crore, a 5.2% increase year-on-year but short of CNBC-TV18’s poll estimate of ₹4,812 crore.

Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA), however, rose sharply by 32.2% to ₹1,240.4 crore, beating the poll estimate of ₹1,178 crore. The PSU’s EBITDA margin expanded by nearly 600 basis points to 28.1%, compared to 22.3% a year ago, aided by healthy execution and a favourable product mix.

The latest inflows strengthen BEL’s execution pipeline across defence and technology solutions at a time when the company is already witnessing margin expansion.

The management has guided for order inflows of ₹27,000 crore in FY26, providing visibility on growth momentum through the year.

On Monday, shares of BEL closed at ₹402.95 on the NSE, up 1.13% from the previous session.
