Astronomer CEO Andy Byron faces bullying allegations after a viral kiss cam moment at a Coldplay concert.

The controversy surrounding Astronomer CEO Andy Byron- ignited by a viral kiss cam moment at a Coldplay concert- took a darker turn with new allegations surfacing about his past behavior. A former acquaintance accused Andy Byron of being a teenage bully, calling him a “complete sociopath" who “still hasn’t learned his lesson."

The accusation, made in a post on X (formerly Twitter), were levelled by a man named Jonathan Bowen, who claims to have known Andy Byron while growing up in Hanover, Massachusetts.
“You’re not going to believe this shit. When I was a teenager… I got into a couple of fights with a kid a bit younger than me but slightly bigger, named Andy Byron… I beat him up once or twice, but later, he and another buddy… jumped me, and I lost that fight," Jonathan Bowen wrote.

Jonathan Bowen alleged that the experience stuck with him and that Andy Byron’s current behavior mirrors the arrogance he showed back then. He added, “Turns out, he’s the same guy who was caught cheating on his wife at the Coldplay concert! The guy clearly hasn’t learned his lesson. When I knew him, I thought he’d be a competitor… but I also knew he’d be a complete sociopath, and it turns out I was right."

The Coldplay Kiss Cam Scandal: Here’s What Happened
The unfolding scandal began when a clip from a July 16 Coldplay concert went viral in which Andy Byron was seen on the stadium jumbotron embracing Astronomer’s Chief People Officer Kristin Cabot as the two appeared on the kiss cam. The two soon realised that the spotlight was on them owing to which they quickly moved to hide from public view while Coldplay frontman Chris Martin quipped, “Either they’re having an affair or they’re very shy."

Amid speculation of infidelity, social media users pointed out that Andy Byron’s wife, Megan Kerrigan, had removed “Byron" from her last name on Facebook. Megan Kerrigan, who shares two children with Andy Byron, has since taken down her social media accounts.
