At least three were killed and several injured in a massive attack launched by Russia on Ukraine. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Saturday said Ukraine was under attack the entire night.
Zelenskyy, in a statement on Telegram app, said Russia launched around 580 drones and 40 missiles targeting Ukraine’s infrastructure, civilian manufacturing companies, and residential areas in different regions across the country.
“All night, Ukraine was under a massive attack by Russia," Zelenskyy said. “Every such strike is not a military necessity but a deliberate strategy by Russia to terrorize civilians and destroy our infrastructure."
Several visuals are being circulated on social media showing large-scale damage in Ukraine. The pictures shared by the officials on Telegram show police and rescue teams at the sites that are destroyed due to the attack.
Three Killed, Several Injured In Ukraine
As per the local officials, two people were killed in the Chernihiv region in the north and the Khmelnytskyi region in the west of the country. In the central city of Dnipro, a missile with a cluster munition hit a residential apartment building.
One person was killed, and at least 26 people were injured in the attack.
Zelenskyy Condemned Attack
Ukrainian President shared several pictures of the attack on X and posted, “All night, Ukraine was under a massive attack by Russia. The enemy launched 40 missiles – cruise and ballistic – and about 580 drones of various types. I thank all our warriors who defended the skies throughout the night, and our F-16 pilots, who once again proved their prowess today and effectively countered the cruise missile threat against Ukraine."

Zelenskyy reiterated his appeal to Kyiv’s Western allies, calling for more air defense supplies to be sent to Ukraine and stronger sanctions on Russia.
“Ukraine has proven it can defend itself and Europe, but for a reliable shield, we must act together: strengthen air defense, increase weapons supplies, and expand sanctions against Russia’s military machine and the sectors that finance it," he added on X.
