Former Economy Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko was appointed as the new Prime Minister of Ukraine.

Former Ukrainian economy minister Yuliia Svyrydenko was appointed as the new prime minister of the country, news agency AP reported on Thursday.
She replaced Denys Shmyhal on the job, who announced his resignation on Tuesday. He held the position for over five years after his appointment on March 4, 2020.
Yuliia was the key negotiator in the mineral deal with the United States. With her appointment as the PM, she became Ukraine’s first new head of government since the start of the war with Russia in 2022.
