Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Indian markets are looking to make a comeback from a slump. The indices have given up their gains. The Nifty is up nearly 30 points, jumping to 23,150. The Nifty Bank is trading even better, with a rise of about 600 points, moving towards 54,700. Trent, Jio Finance and IndiGo are top gainers.
Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: We are at the halfway mark of the day's trade, and the markets are looking to make a recovery after slumping to the day's low from the peak with gains of over 1%.
The markets are making a move to undo the damage of the previous sessions. The Nifty is up over 70 points, rising above 23,200. The Sensex index is also up nearly half a percent or about 300 points, rising over 73,800.
For the bulls, holding on to 23,000 on the downside for the Nifty will be key to preventing the index from declining further to levels of 22,700. On the upside, the index will first aim to cross the 23,250 - 23,300 zone before attempting to retest the 23,500 mark.
The Nifty Bank is in a better position, jumping over 800 points.
The Nifty Bank is stuck in a range as well and similar to the Nifty, lacks conviction at higher levels. Holding to 54,000 will be key here with the next support at the 53,750 - 53,500 levels.
On the upside, crossing 54,500 is important for a move back to 54,800 - 55,000 levels. Watch for stocks like Bharti Airtel, Vodafone Idea, NLC India, Eternal among others.
