Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: 26,325 is now the new record high or the Nifty, as it heads into its weekly expiry session today. The Nifty Bank too, fell over 400 points from the highs of the day, after scaling the 60,000 mark during opening. The only positive, if any, is that both Nifty, and the Nifty Bank, closed above their key support levels as we highlighted on Monday morning.
Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: Make new highs, cool off from them, repeat. That has been Dalal Street's trend over the last few sessions. The bulls would be disappointed from Monday's close as a plunge in the currency took the Nifty 50 off its record high levels yet again.
Nonetheless, 26,325 is now the new record high for the Nifty, as it heads into its weekly expiry session today. The Nifty Bank, too, fell over 400 points from the highs of the day after scaling the 60,000 mark during opening. The only positive, if any, is that both Nifty and the Nifty Bank closed above their key support levels, as we highlighted on Monday morning.
The rupee will continue to remain a key monitorable, as experts believe that 90 against the US Dollar will be a key psychological level for the currency. The rupee weakness will also keep IT stocks in the spotlight, as it generally helps boost their margins. Broader market breadth continues to remain adverse even as benchmark indices are hitting new highs.
The handover from Wall Street is weak amidst the Bitcoin plunge. Shares such as Vodafone Idea, Bajaj Housing Finance, Bank of Maharashtra, and Hero Moto, among others will be in focus for today's session.
